A while ago we got an invite to check out LIVTHELABEL, a new upcoming brand designed by Anouck Van Der Tuyn. The collection is a perfect balance between laidback and casual chique, we are sure that everyone can find a cool piece to create a LIVTHELABEL outfit.

In this blogpost we’re twinning to the max again. We both loved the khaki colored bomber jackets and got inspired to create a super casual outfit with these eye-catching pieces. Lars is wearing the short bomber and grey sweater from LIVTHELABEL, the sweater has the sweetest quote on the back. “You are a good reason to be happy”
With a pair of black cutout pants from Filles A Papa, Lars’s Rick Owens x Adidas sneakers and a transparent pair of glasses from Polette he’s totally LIVTHELABEL-proof.

Michelle on the other hand is wearing a long bomber jacket. It has a parka fitting but it still looks exactly like a bomber! How cool is that!
We think that every girl needs a pair of good overknee boots. These ones are so handy for a casual look or to combine with a girly dress. Either way it looks beautifu. Michelle found her perfect Even&Odd pair at Zalando. With an oversized black t-shirt and some diva glasses she created a LIVTHELABEL-proof outfit.

And last but not least Michelle gave her look a color boost with the Miss lipstick from the Rouge Dior collection.

Suited Up

Something that many of you may not know is that besides of shopping in the menswear collections, I’m also not scared to roam around in the womenswear department.
I’m not really into the idea of pigeonholing. I love it when people express their individuality, regardless of gender roles or expected behaviour.

That’s how I bumped into the collection of My Sunday Morning. Their collection has a strong bohemian vibe, with soft cottons and warm cozy knits. But what really caught my eye were these impeccable suits. They’re more comfortable, relaxed and cozy than the sharp tailored suits from menswear collections.

I decided to try one of their suits on for fun and I was amazed by how the pants fitted me like a glove! Unlike other dressed pants I wore before, these hugged me in all the right places and didn’t make me look like a 10-year old trying on his dads costume.

I combined the vest and pants from My Sunday Morning with my navy blue blazer, to add some sharpness to this soft, woolen look. To top it off I wore my one of a kind Bow pin from Atelier Feliz Lathouwers. She’s a friend of mine who makes fine jewelry from gold and silver. You definitely need to check out more of her work at

A ka so

Recently we were invited for a cozy dinner with friends to talk about/get to know the brand Akaso. We couldn’t help but being very excited: the minimalistic, sleek esthetique combined with an inspiring background story. So we couldn’t wait to tell you guys some more about it.

Akaso comes from the Italian ‘a caso’, which means ‘by coincidence’. Coincidence is an important factor on how Philippe Vertriest, founder of Akaso, started his brand. As a father of two Ethiopian born daughters he came across the book ‘Painted Bodies’ about African body painting art. That’s how he got to the idea of making a brand in which he could unite Belgian Akaso designers with the Kara tribe in Ethiopia.

The people from the Kara tribe are known for their tribal, abstract body painting art. They paint on skin with the earth as a palette. Philippe organised workshops where six young male and female body painting artists from the Kara tribe could co-create with the two Belgian designers. Like the print on the sweater that Michelle is wearing was created by a little girl and is about friendship. The brand’s identity consists of a fusion between Africa’s oldest art forms and an urban contemporary spirit.

For more info or to shop their collection, definitely check out the Akaso website

Parisian Chique

When fashion month starts I always dream of seeing the new collections on the catwalk and the inspirational outfits that all the fashion bloggers are wearing. When I’m dreaming of their closets I can’t stop my shopping habbits. Sorry not sorry.
So with great inspiration and my own style in the back of my mind I created this comfy but chique Parisian look.

I found the most beautiful light colored shirt from My Sunday Morning  and combined it with my flared black trousers. You can find these flared trousers in every store and in every fabric. It’s a big must have in your closet and it can be worn with what ever you like!

I’m all in for the accessoires in this outfit, so let’s start with the cool fluffy red bag that you can find at Relish! Soo fluffy! I really love tiny jewelry so I recently got this cute gold necklace from Nimzu, a Belgian brand that makes handmade jewelry. Go check their website for even more prettiness.

An other it-item that can really make your outfit complete is a scarf, use one with color to give your outfit a boost or a more neutral one to give your outfit an extra touch.
And to finish my outfit I put on my favorite captain hat from H&M.

I look very Parisian, don’t I? Well if you can’t go to Paris, bring Paris to you 😉

Indian Summer

When the after Summer vibes were still going strong we enjoyed the Idian Summer to the fullest, with long walks in our pretty Antwerp and visits to our favorite chill spots. But the down side of this weather: what the hell do you need to wear? With cold breezes alternating with sunshine on your head, one moment it  feels cold and the next it’s warm. The result: 100% confusion. We decided to  make the best of it, so we picked outfits that are perfect for this complex weather.

Every closet needs a good denim jacket, so our eyes were caught by these absolutely stunning jackets from Monikmo. What we both really liked was the perfect lenght of the jacket. But the coolest thing about these jackets is the wow-factor on the back! Every jacket has it’s own,  unique design of hand sewn  beads and pearls in beautiful, bright colors. It’s a cool and creative varation on the jeans jackets decorated with patches.

Michelle combined her jacket with a grey turtleneck from My Sunday Morning. To finish off her look she wore her favorite leather, baggy pants from H&M.
She combined it with a bright pink lip, which is her new favorite color MISS from the new Rouge Dior line.

Lars kept it simple with a white shirt and woolen sweatpants from My Sunday Morning, that actually matches Michelle’s turtleneck sweater. Talking about twinning!

As you guys may know from our previous post: Goldfetch x Polette, we are big fans of all types of glasses. So to really boost our outfits, we both wore our Polette eyewear glasses. If you’re still searching for the perfect eyewear, give Polette a visit! You’ll find your favorite glasses in no time!

Floral Wrap

I have a big love for gigantic skirts, they can be matched with everything and still look fab. You can keep it simple and wear a plain tshirt, shirt or crop top. Or you can find a perfect top to create print-on-print action. To give the entire outfit a color boost I wore my blue heels from Primark and my favorite Shellbag!
For me this is the perfect outfit for a date night or a little stroll in the city.

I got my Floral wrap skirt from Asos, which is becoming my Visa card’s second home. I can spend hours on Asos searching for cool pieces and this skirt ofcourse needed to be in my closet. Since last year was the “hotline bling”- year, I got this shiny Skinnydip Shellbag for my birthday from my best friends. These days you can call me on my Shellphone…
You can never have to much white shirts in your closet, this one’s from Subdued.

Thanks to & Other Stories I now got a new pair of golden rings, two seperate pieces that fit together as one. I barely buy rings but these were a perfect match!

With this outfit I’m definitly ready to hit the city.

Socks in Sandals

The warm weather days are almost behind us. That means I can finally start to experiment with my fall outfits. One thing I can’t part with yet are my Teva Sandals. The perfect way to transition them from summer to fall is to wear socks in them. For many people this may be a fashion faux pas, but I can’t help but love it!

For this outfit I chose to wear bright colored socks that match my vintage style shirt. I decided to keep the rest of the outfit a bit more classy so the focus stays on the socks and sandals.

Do you dare to keep wearing your sandals during autumn?

It’s always cool to discover new hotspots in your own country, so we were really excited when we got invited by Belmodo and Visit Oostende for #MODEinOOSTENDE.
#MODEinOOSTENDE is the perfect weekend to find out more about the boutiques and stores that this beach town has to offer.

The participating shops showed off their best selection of brands and cool store interior while serving chilled drinks.  We started our weekend with a yummy lunch at Passe-Vite, it’s a small but cozy place with two very kind ladies at your service. We both took a salade which was freshly made with a lot of care and love. It was a definite must-go in Ostend!

With a map filled with stores to discover we started our shopping stroll throughout Ostend. We really loved the Vitrine Lulu Store , a tiny boutique with the coolest selection of Belgian-  and international designer pieces for women. ( Tim Van Steenbergen, Annemie Verbeke, Jil Sander Navy, Vivienne Westwood, Fuzzi, Jean Paul Gaultier, Maison Margiela MM6.) We both adored a perfect grey MM6 blazer jacket, wishlisted for sure!

For the perfect combo between fashion and accesoires from Des Petit Hauts, Sessun, Samsoe&Samsoe,.. and many more you must visit the Lily store.

At Pied De Poule you find yourself between Anine Bing, Love Stories, Ganni and other amazing designers. This cozy store has the coolest interior, with our personal design favorite: a monkey holding a lightbulb-lamp. Who doesn’t wanna spend their money there?!

For our shopping day we both wore casual outfits. Being comfy while shopping is the most fun! When walking next to L’Oxygène we already wanted everything that was standing in the window. Talking about some window shopping! Inside we discovered even more beautiful pieces. The store has an amazing selection of brands like Liv The Label, Patrizia Pepe, Les Petites, Julia June, American Vintage,…

In need of an original present or you just wanna make yourself happy? Visit Ferm. A store filled with clothes, books, bathroom accesoires, watches,.. Bye bye money, hello new goodies!

And last but not least we entered the vintage world at L’Alchimiste, a second hand store  with two floors full of vintage designer pieces in perfect condition! The lovely shop owner welcomed us with shots, after that we became best friends in a heart beat! If you’re looking for that ultimate designer piece no one else will own, don’t hesitate to visit this place.

We mentioned some of our favorite shops that we discovered at Ostend, but there is sooo much more to see! So if you’re planning a shopping trip, get ready to discover a lot of new places in Ostend!

Summer is almost over but I’m pretty sure that a ton of people are still in need of sunshine, beach and cocktails. Can’t decide where you’ll be chillin’ in the next couple of weeks? Here’s a great tip: Albufeira, Portugal.
Albufeira is in the south of Portugal in the Faro district. It’s known for its beautiful beaches, rocky landscape and hot weather. We booked a cool 4 person apartment at Golden Beach Apartments through, with an ocean view, airco and a pool with cocktailbar. Who wouldn’t be happy?

Go-go’s in Albufeira

Dolphin and cave watching. With a 2,5 h boattrip you visit the most beautiful caves and the amazing coastline of Algarve. We went across the most visited cave and jumped into the clear blue water next to the ”Submarine” rock. They say that The Beatles got inspired by this rock to created their song ‘‘ Yellow submarine”. Yeah, some tourists really believed this tale… After seeing a ton of tiny beaches we finally saw some wild dolphins!
You can book your trip at the Albufeira Marine.

If you really want to get the Portugal vibe you should vistit Old town Albufeira. It’s super cozy and perfect for an afternoon stroll. You can find tiny markets, yummy restaurants and ofcourse the typical tourist shops. At night we chilled at the Old town beach with cocktails, perfect to end an other sunny day.
In the mood for a party? You can maybe visit The Strip, we didn’t party so I have no clue how the clubs were but I can tell you, there were A LOT of Dutch people. Kinda felt like walking into Holland itself.

With an apartment and kitchen to use we sometimes cooked at home but most of the time we went out to discover the Portugese dishes. One of the best plates we had all week was at Stews and more a new restaurant with very friendly and passionate hosts: Nuno and Nathalie. As the name of the restaurant already says, you can get stews with Portuguese and Dutch influences. This because the cook itself was a Dutch lady with amazing cooking skills! They use their family receipies to create the delicious meals they serve, a perfect combo between Portuguese and Dutch dishes. From the goulash to the tuna steak, every dish was outstanding.

After sitting in the sun all day and alot of sight-seeing, walking back to the apartment was quite a task. So we used the Tuk-tuk, best thing ever! Windy, fun and not exhausting at all! #Tuktuklife. Going on a vacay with two couples (and le boyfriends cousin for 3 days) was so much fun. With the boys playing in the water and us girls working on our tan, our much needed chill vacation was a great succes.
Thank you guys for the amazing vacation!
